TONY HOUSE (Canada Topflight Academy) - Co-Founder

Tony House was a two-time Ottawa All-Star, game MVP and Ontario High School All-Star, winning a Junior and Senior Championship with St. Pius X High School. He was highly recruited out of high school and went on to start and play for the nationally ranked University of Manitoba Bisons. Tony attended two Canadian National Team tryouts as well as an Olympic Team camp. Tony has been coaching for over 30 years and has coached a number of successful basketball teams including the senior boy’s programs at Nepean High School and Sacred Heart High School. In 2010-11 House’s Sacred Heart Huskies would win an AAAA City Championship and earn a top 4 ranking in Ontario. Tony has also coached the U19 Ottawa Guardsmen and has been a driving force and coach with the Ottawa Elite program since its inception. His U16 OE team would win the first Ontario Cup Division 1 title for the organization and Final 4 program in CYBL when he coached. He has been instrumental in the development of numerous players going on and playing at the university/college level. Tony partnered with Leo Rautins to form the Rautins-House Basketball Camp that has been a fixture in the community for 30 years and has coordinated the annual Ottawa High School Boys All-Star game for over 20 years. Seeing a need for a high school All-Star game for girls as well, Tony started the Ottawa High School Girls All-Star game for girls as well, which he has been coordinating for the past 3 years. House is the Founder of Canada Topflight Academy (CTA), the first Prep program in Ottawa which currently includes two Senior Men’s (Gold and Red), Junior Boys and Senior Women's teams. The CTA Senior Men have won 2 out of 3 NPA National Championships in their first two years of operation. Last season CTA would go undefeated in league play, was ranked # 1 in the country for most of the year and was selected Coach of the Year for the 2019-20 season.



DREW EBANKS - Co-Founder / PLATINUM Circuit Commissioner
 

Drew Ebanks, Founder of On Point Basketball. is often referred to as ‘Captain Canada’. Drew has been an integral innovator and personality in both amateur and professional Canadian basketball. With a High Honour Diploma in Radio & Television Broadcasting from Seneca College and experience in the financial services industry. Ebanks’ diverse educational background and work experience has allowed him to maximize On Point’s potential in becoming a leading basketball lifestyle brand.
The NSC PLATINUM circuit is thrilled to have him ONSIDE and have no doubt he will make a difference in the lives of young Canadian hoop hopefuls.



LEO RAUTINS - Board Member
 

Leo Rautins brings a legendary professional NBA pedigree to the NSC PLATINUM leadership group. Leo was a pioneer and trailblazer and helped bring attention to Canadian basketball. The Kid from Keele Street starred at St. Michael’s College and was heavily recruited by over 100 NCAA D1 schools. Leo played college ball at Minnesota before transferring after his freshman year to Syracuse. Leo became a Captain in his senior year and registered the first-ever triple-double in Big East history. Due to his efforts on the court, Leo was inducted into the Syracuse University All-Century team. Leo graduated from the prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He would be the first Canadian to be drafted in the first-round (17th) pick by the Philadelphia 76ers.
Following his professional playing career in the NBA and Europe, Leo served as the head coach of the Canadian National Basketball Team and was inducted into the Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame. Leo then led the Canadian National Team to a birth in the 2010 World Championships. Leo as been privileged to represent the 2019 NBA World Champion Toronto Raptors as their Television Analyst since the World Champions' inaugural season in 1995. He has been a mainstay for the Raptors & the NBA in Canada. Leo has earned a reputation for not only insightful commentary but also is a respected pioneer of the game, having contributed in countless ways to its exploding growth & popularity today. Over the years Leo has taught thousands of young players at his Rautins-House International Basketball School Camp & Clinics. Leo continues to be in demand as an inspiring speaker, clinician & advocate for various humanitarian causes. 



RO RUSSELL (Crestwood Prep) - Board Member
 

The National Senior Circuit is pleased to add Ro Russell to the Board of Directors of the NSC PLATINUM circuit.
Ro is one of the most high profile coaches in the basketball community. In 1990, Russell pioneered Canadian basketball with the formation of his organization Grassroots Canada Elite. Grassroots Canada has fielded many of Canada’s top professional players, such as the Cleveland Cavalier’s Tristan Thompson, Toronto Raptors Cory Joseph, Minnesota Timberwolves Andrew Wiggins, Dallas Maverick’s Dwight Powell, and the Philadelphia 76ers’ Nik Stauskas. In 2008, his Grassroots Canada team became the first Canadian organization to win a Major AAU tournament in the Las Vegas Super ’64 Tournament.
Russell has played an instrumental role in the Canadian basketball community. To date, he has aided over 400 high school female and male athletes secure basketball scholarships to over 100 schools in North America. Coach Ro is currently the Director of Basketball and Head Coach of the SR Boys at Crestwood Preparatory College in Toronto.



DARON LEONARD (Northstar Prep) - Board Member
 

The NSC PLATINUM circuit is pleased to have Daron Leonard on its Board of Directors.
As a player and competitor, Daron is accomplished in ways that very few can claim, winning multiple championships at every level. Attending A.B. Lucas HS in London, ON, he led the Vikings to City Championships, SWOSSA championships, and OFSAA provincials every year of his 3-year varsity career, with a top finish of 7th place in Ontario at the “AAAA” level. He subsequently trained at Laurinburg Prep (Laurinburg, NC), winning the unofficial national championship against Hargrave Military Academy (FL) at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. In his collegiate career, Daron was known as a prolific scorer. He briefly competed for his hometown Western Mustangs prior to competing at the highest level in the country with the Carleton Ravens, winning multiple national titles. Daron briefly played overseas prior to suffering a career-ending knee injury but was able to achieve the personal goal of playing professionally in quality leagues (Swiss LNA, Italy Serie A) as a Canadian import. ​Eager to bring his own philosophy and culture to the forefront of a program, Daron established the Northstar Sports Foundation, a non-profit organization primarily for inner-city youth with a focus on social and athletic development for post-secondary preparation. As the program has grown, it has opened the door for additional programming, including a training academy and AAU program. This has all led to Northstar Preparatory Institute and pioneering the first basketball program of its kind in the province of Manitoba. Buoyed by the established development structure and a proven track record of teaching fundamentals as well as pushing established amateur talent to the professional level, Daron will confidently lead NPI to become one of the elite basketball development programs in the country.



NAOFALL MING FOLAHAN (Halifax Prep) - Board Member
 

The NSC PLATINUM circuit is pleased to have Naofall Ming Folahan on its Board of Directors this season.
Originally from (Benin) Africa, Ming grew up with a wonderful family and a passion for basketball. At an early age, Ming was head and shoulders taller than all of his friends - much like he is today.
At 16, Ming was recruited by a prep school in the States where he was nominated 'McDonald's All American' in his senior year of high school. He would ultimately land himself a full scholarship to Wagner College, where he would play for the brother duo Bobby and Danny Hurley. Bobby, an accomplished NBA player turned professional coach and Danny has coached players who would go on to win NBA championships.
Known for his legacy as 'All-Time Leading Shot Blocker at Wagner, Ming also ranked second in the country for shot blocks in his senior year. To this day, Ming still holds the record for most shots blocked in a single game.
Working just as hard off the court, Ming graduated with a degree in International Business. After trying out for NBA teams including the Knicks, Spurs, and Nuggets, he signed a professional contract to play in the NBL (Canadian Basketball League).
Since his move to Canada, Ming has met his wife, Stephanie, and together have had two children. Working in his community and raising his kids, Ming realized he had a passion as strong as basketball - being a father. By combining the elements of basketball and empowering the next generation, Ming and Stephanie created M7NG Company which is now Halifax Prep. Halifax Prep is devoted to making quality basketball programs available to as many kids as possible. The dedicated father of two knows firsthand the challenges parents face with raising children in today's economy and works around the clock to reach as many children as possible. 



ANDY HUFFMAN (CTA West) - Board Member
 

Adam Huffman has been immersed in the Canadian Basketball scene for the past 15 years. After playing CIS Basketball with the University of Regina Cougars and convocating with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration, he launched Doggpound Basketball Training Academy. Since the start of Doggpound in 2007, he has trained hundreds of athletes across Western Canada, helping many achieve placement in post-secondary institutions in Canada and the USA. Most notably, Adam was invited to coach at the Tom Izzo Basketball Camp in Michigan State in 2016 as well as with Canada Basketball to work with players in the All Canadian Game.  Adam worked with Basketball Saskatchewan previously as head coach of U15 & U17 boys teams leading his U15 team to a bronze medal finish at Nationals.  He is currently Vice-President of the Canadian National Preparatory Association (NPA) helping grow the league across Canada.  Adam is committed to helping players of all skill levels realize their potential and is excited to be Executive Director and Head Coach of CTA West.



KEVIN BARNES (Southwest Academy) - Board Member
 

Coach Kevin Barnes is entering his 5th season as the Head coach for Southwest Academy (SWA) boys program.  He is also a member of the U17 Ontario Provincial Team staff and currently holds the title of Lead Assistant Coach. 
Before founding SWA he ​​spent 5 years (2010-2015) working with the Western Mustangs men’s basketball program as a Usports Assistant Coach.  In that time Coach Barnes was also the Head Coach of various London Ramblers high school boys club teams and has run several Basketball Ontario TIDP evaluations and teams.  Coach Barnes also possesses a Bachelor of Arts, Physical Education degree from the University of Alberta, Augustana ​Faculty ​​and also has earned a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services from Conestoga College.  He is an NCCP Train to Compete certified coach and has spent over 15 years working as a basketball director and head counselor with various camps and programs like Basketball Ontario, Five Star Basketball, Camp Wayne for Boys and various independently run basketball camps and training platforms.  Coach Barnes is a builder and believes strongly in a bipartisan approach to growing the game in Canada.
